This Privacy Policy explains how PYLS Ltd handles your personal data. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law.

1. Data we process

• On-device data: in this version, your vehicle details, saved places and preferences are stored locally on your device (in your browser), not on our servers.
• Location data: if you grant permission, we use your location to find nearby stations and chargers. Location is used to provide the service and is handled transparently.
• Account data (future): if you create an account, we will process your email and saved settings to sync across devices.
• Usage and technical data: basic, privacy-respecting information needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your data

To provide recommendations, remember your preferences, operate and improve the Service, process subscriptions, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data and we do not show advertising.

3. Lawful bases

We rely on your consent (e.g. for location and notifications), performance of a contract (providing the Service and subscriptions), and our legitimate interests (operating and securing the App).

4. Third parties

We use third-party data sources (e.g. UK Government Fuel Finder open data, Open Charge Map) and may use processors for hosting, payments and notifications. These parties process data under appropriate agreements.

5. Retention

On-device data remains until you clear it or uninstall. Account data (when available) is retained while your account is active and deleted on request.

6. Your rights

You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing. See Your Rights and Data Deletion. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

7. Children

The App is not directed at children under 18.
